AGC21 has much experience with the seismic data processing aspect of geophysical data processing. The three areas we cover are:

• QC of seismic data processing at contractor’s / client’s offices
• Field QC processing
• Specialist seismic processing projects

QC of seismic in-house data processing
For an additional independent point of view, AGC21 geophysicists QC seismic data through each processing stage, increasing the value / quality of the data, especially for non-proprietary work. At this time the QCs have the opportunity to communicate with the crew processors and are able to transfer information regarding the geology of the area and the targets to be imaged. If AGC21 QCs are present on the crew producing the data, QCs can enlighten the in-house processors on any issues regarding positioning or acquisition in addition to the crew reports which may be difficult to find or interpret easily especially if the processors have not had field experience. Power point presentations are made to clients and partners and / or contractors to clarify, summarise and streamline events.

Field QC processing
Often working alongside our acquisition and navigation QCs, the seismic processing QCs at AGC21 have experience with most of the industry recognised software and do everything from parameter testing at the start of a job, through QCing the data during the survey, to finally producing a report for the client within the specified time. AGC21 is a member of the IAGC and all our client representatives have the appropriate HSE training according to these guidelines.

Specialist seismic processing projects
AGC21 does not undertake any large batch seismic data processing projects, but if you have any data needing specialist treatment e.g. checking for incorrect headers, shot-points, data completeness, then AGC21 can do this, providing a completely documented set of data ready for processing.
